Dispatcher

The DCX Client Services - Home-Based Dispatcher will work as a full-time employee for a growing business based in the United States. You will get a chance to learn new skills as well as demonstrate skills you've learned in the past. You will be responsible for closely following the instructions and processes outlined by our client.

The daily tasks will vary so it will be necessary to be very flexible in this position. Other necessary characteristics of the job include having a strong attention to detail, ability to work well with co-workers, and a desire to learn new work skills.

Ideal Candidates will be

• Above average typing and data entry skills
• Comfortable working independently with little direction under tight deadlines

Role Details

• Industry: Promotions
• Work Shift: 5:00AM - 2:00PM & 12:00PM-9:00PM CST
• Workdays: Monday through Friday (USA)
• Written and spoken English skill: Very Proficient
• Salary Range: 43,000

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure drivers maintain compliance with DOT regulations and support customer requirements
• Serve as a reliable point of contact to drivers and management
• Monitor daily driving logs to ensure compliance with DOT
• Assist Deputy Terminal Manager in ensuring truck and driver readiness
• Develop daily plans to balance the drivers' health and safety with customer requirements
• Coordinate and manage the most efficient loads
• Implement programs to manage cost
• Combine shipments based on their routes and timeline to minimize truck/driver requirement
• Negotiate rates directly with vendors and customers
• Identify special needs of shipment and help drivers get the necessary documents needed
• Other duties as assigned

Additional Job Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent; Logistics or transportation degree preferred
• Fluent in English and Spanish preferred
• Familiar with DOT and OSHA compliance regulations
• Fluent in Excel
• Quick and thorough data entry/input background also including and through excel and using one drive
• Very clear English speaking skills – does not have to be less of an accent but must be very understandable
• Critical thinking and extremely fast in responsiveness
• Dispatcher experience in the past
