DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collecting and analyzing data about a company's operational costs and maintain a cost/expenses database

  2. Setting standard costs of repacked goods

  3. Developing and analyzing costs standards

  4. Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis for old and new products to be introduced

  5. Establishing costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping etc.

  6. Performing account reconciliations

  7. Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to the management related to inefficiencies

  8. Recommending changes to the company's processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit

  9. Determine fixed costs

  10. Plan and record variable costs (e.g purchases of raw material and operation costs)

  11. Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies

  12. Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions

  13. Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) costs forecasts

  14. Assist in quarterly and year-end closing

  15. Analyze and report profit margins

  16. Check landed cost for importation in the system

  17. Provide costing for government bidding transactions

  18. Monitors inventory levels ensuring that the company maintains an optimal balance between having enough stock to meet demand and minimizing the cost associated with holding excess inventory.

  19. Prepare variance analysis report to pinpoint areas where actual costs deviate from budgeted costs, prompting corrective actions.

JOB QUALIFICATION

  • Must be a Licensed Cost Accountant
  • Graduate of Accountancy, Financial Management, or a related course.
  • With at least 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting or a similar role.
  • Knowledge in cost control, CVP analysis, standard costing, and variance reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in preparing cost reports, forecasts, and landed cost analysis.
  • Familiar with inventory costing and audit processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and good with numbers.
  • Can work independently and with a team.
  • Experience in government bidding costing is a plus.
