We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Preparation Assistant to join our culinary team. In this role, you will support the kitchen staff by preparing ingredients, assisting with food prep, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly during food preparation. Your work will be essential in maintaining kitchen organization and cleanliness, ensuring high standards of food safety, and contributing to the overall success of meal preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of raw ingredients (e.g., chopping vegetables, marinating meats, portioning, and assembling ingredients for cooking).
- Kitchen Organization: Ensure all prep work is completed in an efficient and organized manner, following standardized recipes and instructions.
- Stock Maintenance: Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report low stock or expiry dates to the kitchen manager.
- Cleaning and Sanitizing: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, workstations, and storage areas by cleaning tools, equipment, and surfaces regularly.
- Assist Chefs and Cooks: Provide general assistance to chefs and line cooks during meal prep and during service.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to food safety standards and ensure proper storage and handling of food to prevent contamination and spoilage.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist with the proper handling, use, and cleaning of kitchen equipment and tools.
- Other Duties: Assist with special projects or tasks as directed by the kitchen team or management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role preferred but not required.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow recipes and instructions carefully and maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and handle the physical demands of a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Team Player: Ability to work well with others in a collaborative kitchen environment.
- Time Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively.
- Food Safety Knowledge: Basic understanding of food safety practices, or willingness to learn and adhere to safety regulations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with basic kitchen equipment (knives, slicers, mixers, etc.).
- Knowledge of different types of cuisine and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php18, Php20,000.00 per month
