Filipino yuppies, foodies, and mallgoers in the Philippines. We serve a unique hotpot

experience personalized to each one's food preferences, with each bowl weighed and paid

according to your cravings. In 2019, Sichu Malatang opened its first store in Double Dragon

Meridian Park and instantly became a hit to the Chinese market. Sichu eventually adopted a

more localized approach in marketing, social media content and store design, while

maintaining a modern Chinese ambiance. We also added new cooking techniques and now

offer three choices - Hotpot, Drypot and Mixpot, all cooked in-store by our Chinese Chefs. It

is served fast by the bowl so that you can enjoy your hotpot noodles on a quick lunch break

or on a casual dinner with friends and work colleagues.

I. JOB OVERVIEW:

A Kitchen Helper is someone that works in a kitchen assisting the culinary team and

Waitstaff to deliver excellent customer service to restaurant patrons. Their primary duties

include washing dishes, preparing meal ingredients, and maintaining the kitchen. It requires

flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the

restaurant's operational needs. They also play a crucial role in the collaborative efforts of the

kitchen team. Effective communication and cooperation with chefs and other kitchen staff are

essential to maintaining a smooth and efficient operation. It also involves standing for

extended periods, lifting, and carrying moderate to heavy loads, and working in a busy kitchen

environment.

II. JOB DESCRIPTION: Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, ensuring they meet the quality standards set by

the kitchen.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and

equipment. Responsible as well in general cleaning of stock room, floor, grease traps

and kitchen hood.

  • Taking out the garbage and replacing garbage bags
  • Clearing and cleaning tables for Waitstaff when necessary.
  • Support the kitchen team by following instructions from chefs in the preparation of

ingredients and making of soup.

  • Ensure that all kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils are cleaned and sanitized in

accordance with food safety standards.

  • Assist in the dispatching of goods for deliveries to branches, when needed.
  • Act as a delivery helper for take-out orders, when needed.
  • Assist in the receiving, storing, and organizing of food and kitchen supplies.
  • Follow proper safety and hygiene protocols.

III. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not

required.

  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing schedules, including working evenings, weekends, and

holidays, as dictated by the operational needs of the restaurant.

  • Willingness to learn and take direction from branch assistant manager.
