Our datastore management team is growing, and we're on the lookout for a
Junior Database Engineer
to support and develop our database systems.

We're not fixated on formal qualifications — we want people who have hands-on experience in this kind of role and a passion for working with others and protecting systems.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop SQL tasks, queries, reports, and BI interfaces.
  • Support cloud migration projects (Azure SQL, Managed Instance, Hyperscale SQL Database).
  • Participate in automation of database processes using scripting and modern tooling.
  • Troubleshoot production database issues and provide effective fixes.
  • Gather and analyze user requirements, conduct feasibility studies.
  • Create technical documentation for new features and updates.
  • Assist with deployment, release management, and platform development.

  • Collaborate with architects and managers to plan deliverables and align with system architecture.

  • Tech & Skills we're looking for:

  • Experience with T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Reporting Services.
  • Knowledge of database health monitoring and performance tuning.
  • Exposure to ETL and scripting (PowerShell a plus).
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and motivated to take on challenges.

Bonus if you have:

  • Familiarity with Azure database technologies, SQL HA & DR.
  • Experience with Snowflake, Apache Airflow, Power BI, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or AWS RDS.
