Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Records and processes financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  • Ensures all transactions are accurately documented and entered into the accounting system.
  • Reconciles bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
  • Investigates and resolves discrepancies in financial records.
  • Assists in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Generates reports for management and stakeholders as needed.
  • Assists in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Ensures compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains accurate and organized financial records for audit purposes.
  • Assists in monitoring and managing inventory levels.
  • Ensures accurate recording and valuation of inventory.
  • Provides administrative support to the accounting team, including filing, record-keeping, and data entry.
  • Assists with other tasks and projects as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor or management.

Experience and Skills:

  • Previous experience in accounting or finance roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and financial management systems is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Honest and trustworthy with a strong sense of integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
