Refrigerated Truck Technician

Job Summary: Performing preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems for containerized and reefer trucks, including inspections, servicing, and component replacements.

_ JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:_

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in refrigeration units.
  • Repairing or replacing defective components, such as compressors, evaporators,condensers, and control systems.
  • Charging and recovering refrigerants in accordance with EPA regulations.
  • Inspecting and repairing electrical wiring, circuits, and control panels.
  • Using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve problems.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Communicating effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and other team members
  • Responding to emergency repair calls as needed.

_ JOB QUALIFICATIONS:_

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in refrigeration is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration systems for containerized and reefer trucks.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
