Design Engineer – Mechanical Static

BTSMC Managing Solutions, Inc. is looking for a DESIGN ENGINEER – MECHANICAL STATIC (6-Mos. Project-based)

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of Mechanical Engineering; Licensed
• At least 5-10 years' experience in Design & Engineering works
• Fluent in written and oral English communications
• Familiar with MS Office
• Must have at least 3 years of Oil & Gas experience
• Ability to work and coordinate more than one project at a time
• Proficient and familiarity with design software, such as AutoCAD, AMETank, Codeware, COMPRESS/PV Elite
• Knowledge of piping/rotating equipment is a plus
• Willing to be assigned in Batangas City

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develops cost-effective design layouts based on construction specifications and requirements.
• Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards by completing technical studies and preparing cost estimates.
• Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications by calculating time requirements and sequencing of project elements.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Review project plan and determine the design feasibilities and constraints.
• Maintain accurate design files for reference purposes - Manage design projects within allotted timelines and budgets.
• Perform design changes and improvements according to changing projects demands.
• Conduct site inspections for individual projects to ensure site conditions are considered in the design process.
• Coordinates with CAD Engr./Draftsman for preparation of drawings or prepare the drawings if needed.
• Coordinates with various teams to administer all ongoing assignments and check their status report.
• Provides technical expertise within the department to support design efforts on a variety of projects.
• Responsible for the quality of the deliverables and generate deliverables per the project standards.
• Check the works of others for conformance with project documentation, applicable gov't, industry and client codes, practices, QA/QC policies, Safety policies, performance standards and specifications.
• Checks vendor drawings & other project related documents and conduct technical bid evaluation.
• Provides technical advice on safe designs & construction and recommends or present alternative solutions to problems.
• Prepares design for the Mechanical Static scope of the projects such as Tank repair and Construction.
• Prepares datasheets, materials requisitions for the defines static equipment
• Analyze all mechanical designs, sketch various concepts for static equipment designs and finally develop necessary mechanical drawings.
• Consider compliance to applicable gov't, industry and client codes, practices, QA/QC policies, Safety policies, performance standards and specifications when developing mechanical static equipment designs
• Determines appropriate construction materials.
• Interpret all design codes and ensure effective performance of all mechanical static activities.
• Ensure the integrity of the QMS is maintained.
• Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Immediate Superior from time to time.
• May be asked to support other projects and perform other activities related to the PDE role from time to time such as but not limited to: Jet A1, LNG, Demolition, I&M, OOSI, Bamboo, TSO, etc.

• Work Schedule: 7:00 AM-4:00 PM - Monday to Saturday
• Work Location: Full on-site in Batangas City
