Lead Design Engineer

BTSMC Managing Solutions, Inc. is looking for a LEAD DESIGN ENGINEER (6-Mos. Project-based) - FOR POOLING

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or other related fields.
• Master Engineering Degree is a plus.
• 5 - 10 years of experience in leading technical office for multi discipline as engineering lead or manager role.
• Oil & Gas Industry experience is an advantage.
• Direct experience as technical lead for project such as Tank construction and refurbishment, Gantry loading, Terminal automation system, Vapor recovery unit is a plus.
• A strong background and expertise in design principles, processes, and methodologies (e.g., process design, civil and structural, mechanical and piping, instrumentation and electrical designs)
• Knowledgeable in project specifications, design philosophy, Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Process and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), calculations, operation manuals to comply with clients' requirements.
• Fluent in the local language where he/she will be required to operate.
• Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office & MS Projects
• Willing to be assigned in Tabangao, Batangas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures that the project has the necessary manpower and expertise.
• Ensures that his team has all the necessary equipment and tools to perform their duties and responsibilities.
• On-board newly hired staff to BTSMC and Shell's ways of working along with other processes, guidelines, and requirements such as ODM, DEP, and HSSE.
• He/she is responsible for coordinating and leading the design team in ensuring the quality and timeliness of design deliverables and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Establishes and enforces design standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality design solutions.
• Reviews and evaluates design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and presentations, to verify accuracy, compliance with regulations, and alignment with project requirements. Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance the quality of design outputs.
• Prepare necessary reports and presentations and present to stakeholders if necessary.
• Participates in project planning activities, providing input on design feasibility, resource allocation, and project timelines. Collaborate with project teams to develop design strategies, concepts, and solutions that align with project goals, budget constraints, and timelines. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and take proactive measures to address issues and ensure project success.
• Interacts with clients, understand their design requirements, and provide design consultation and guidance.
• Encourages effective collaboration and communication within the design team and across other departments and stakeholders. Facilitate regular design team meetings, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Stays updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices. Encourage continuous learning and professional development among the design center team.
• Manages resignation and turnover of the team.
• Provides recommendations on how to improve the team's processes, guidelines, and ways of working.
• Manages the subordinate's job performance by communicating the company or group objective, targets, monitoring progress, and appraising their results and performance.
• Counsels, and disciplines employees in accordance with the Company's policies, rules & regulations.
• Responsible for managing subordinate schedules and evaluating subordinate performances.
• Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Immediate Superior from time to time.
• May be asked to support other projects of BTSMC as necessary.

Other Details:

• Work Schedule: 7:00 AM-4:00 PM - Monday to Saturday
• Work Location: Full on-site in Tabangao, Batangas
