Procurement and Inventory Officer

Job Overview:We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement and Inventory Officer to oversee day-to-day inventory and purchasing tasks. The role involves managing requisitions, negotiating supplier contracts, handling returns, and ensuring smooth operations within the purchasing and inventory teams.Key Responsibilities:Monitor daily transactions within the Purchasing and Inventory unit.Review weekly requisitions and stock transfer forms for accuracy.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers.Coordinate with departments to resolve issues (e.g., non-delivery, short delivery).Facilitate returns and manage defective supplies with suppliers.Maintain purchasing documents for audit purposes.Handle purchasing and inventory tasks during team absences to ensure operational continuity.Approve non-regular requests and maintain proper documentation.Conduct annual supplier evaluations.Schedule and ensure machine calibration for accreditation.Prepare agreements for new and existing suppliers.Coordinate the accreditation of new suppliers and verify resigned employees' clearances.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Procurement, or related field.Experience: 2-3 years in purchasing or inventory management.Skills:Strong negotiation and communication skills.Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word).Knowledge of procurement and inventory systems is a plus.
