Job Description

We are seeking a skilled DB2 administrator to plan, deploy, upgrade, migrate and troubleshoot our database system.

The ideal candidate will have experience administering IBM DB2 on Unix/Linux operating systems and be proficient in database design and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deploy, upgrade, migrate and troubleshoot DB2 system.
  • Ensure proper configuration and tuning of database system.
  • Ensure successful backup and disaster recovery processes for database system.
  • Perform restores as needed.
  • Configure automated database deployment.
  • Interface with the development team to aid in design and development tasks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3+ years' administering IBM DB2 on Unix/Linux operating systems.
  • Proficient in IBM AIX, Unix and Power environment.
  • Fluent in DB2 programming language.
  • Experience in performance tuning and optimization.
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt.
