Overview of the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team. As a Healthcare Revenue Cycle Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that medical charges, payments, and journal entries are accurately posted and processed in a timely manner.


About the Job

This is a full-time position requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical billing software and be proficient in handling protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.


Responsibilities
  • Verify insurance filing information for patients and clients
  • Process claims using billing software and ensure accurate posting of medical charges and payments
  • Follow up on unpaid claims within established time frames
  • Research and appeal denied claims
  • Maintain accurate records and reports


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management
  • Strong knowledge of insurance guidelines and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in medical billing software
  • Ability to handle PHI in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a mid-shift schedule. You will work 40 hours per week, with regular breaks and time off for holidays and vacation.
