Delivery Operations Manager

Offshore digital staff augmentation and delivery solutions are in high demand, with a growing need for proactive, solution-oriented professionals to oversee project operations across multiple client accounts. As a Delivery Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless delivery of projects from various platforms.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in delivery management, with experience managing cross-functional teams comprising developers, project managers, QA specialists, and other resources. This individual must possess excellent stakeholder management skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a calm demeanor when addressing challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of multiple client projects across web, mobile, and e-commerce platforms.
• Manage, mentor, and support a team of project managers and delivery personnel.
• Coordinate with design, development, and QA leads to ensure resource alignment.
• Monitor timelines, milestones, blockers, and proactively escalate risks when necessary.
• Serve as a key client contact for delivery-related updates, check-ins, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with leadership to continuously improve delivery processes and team capabilities.
• Contribute to client reporting and forecasting for delivery pipelines.
• Support the onboarding of new clients and ensure delivery expectations are aligned from day one.

Client Communication:

• Manage daily project updates and delivery discussions (working alongside project managers).

Project Success:

• Ensure client satisfaction by meeting expectations, managing risks, and implementing mitigation plans (shared responsibility with project managers).

Resource Planning:

• Prioritize and coordinate resources across project managers to mitigate the impact of reallocation or resource changes.

Team Leadership:

• Develop project managers through mentoring and performance reviews.
• Implement process improvements to enhance project delivery and team support.
• Address delivery challenges promptly and serve as a go-to person for problem-solving.

Client Relationships:

• Build strong working relationships with clients (in collaboration with leadership for larger initiatives).
• Establish success metrics for new clients based on their specific needs.
• Resolve delivery issues efficiently and escalate more complex problems to leadership when necessary.

Documentation and Planning:

• Develop and approve scope of work documents with the assistance of project managers.
• Track delivery performance metrics.

Success Measures:

60-Day Goals:

• All project managers demonstrating improved client responsiveness and delivery consistency.
• Clear delivery metrics and reporting established.
• Leadership team freed from day-to-day delivery operations.

90-Day Goals:

• Client satisfaction scores consistently above 4 out of 5 for delivery.
• Project delivery on-time rate above 90%.
• Delivery processes that scale with business growth.

What We're Looking For:

• At least 5 years of experience in delivery management, project management, or digital operations.
• Experience managing cross-functional digital teams (developers, project managers, QA, etc.).
• Strong understanding of Agile/hybrid delivery practices.
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders.
• Ability to switch between high-level planning and hands-on issue resolution.
• Calm under pressure and proactive in finding solutions.
