Join a dynamic team of business journalists and PR professionals as a News and Public Relations Associate. You will be working alongside other experienced writers and communicators, reporting to a team lead and the CEO.

In this role, you will be responsible for researching, covering, and writing business stories that drive engagement and inform our audience. Your skills in email marketing, social media management, and basic graphic design will also be valuable assets to our organization. Additionally, your technical competence and ability to troubleshoot problems independently will enable you to resolve issues efficiently.

\Key Responsibilities
  • Researching, covering, and writing business stories that capture our audience's attention
  • Writing and scheduling weekly newsletters that engage our subscribers
  • Developing content for our weekly podcast features that showcase our expertise
  • Pitching, researching, and writing newsworthy press releases that generate buzz
  • Managing public affairs and media efforts, including writing and placing op-eds and mobilizing editorial campaigns
  • Creating engaging graphics and other visual elements that enhance our online presence
  • Managing our social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter) to maintain a strong online reputation
\Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing, journalism, or public relations
  • Self-motivated individual with excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Resourceful and organized with a drive for results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
\Preferred Skills
  • Experience with project management tools like ClickUp
  • Basic web design using WordPress
  • Copywriting skills
  • Knowledge of Facebook ads, Google Adwords, Pinterest ads, and SEO principles
  • Ability to optimize email deliverability and improve public relations efforts
