Service Writer Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our team. This role involves preparing accurate and timely service quotes, maintaining clear communication with internal teams and customers, and supporting the service workflow from inquiry to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate service and parts quotes using software or equivalent systems
  • Review service requests, technical specifications, and diagnostic reports to determine labor and parts requirements
  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure accuracy and completeness of quotes
  • Maintain a consistent and professional format and structure across all quote documentation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
  • 2+ years of administrative, estimating, or quoting experience in a service or technical environment
  • Experience in the trucking or engineering industries (preferred but not required)
  • Proficiency with quoting software; experience with QuoteWriter is a strong plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
