Key Roles of a Technical Support Specialist
Technical Support EngineerA key role for our Technical Support team is to provide world-class support to our customers. To achieve this, we are looking for a talented and responsible individual who can deliver high-quality technical solutions and communicate effectively with our customers.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of IT, networking, and cyber security concepts, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. They must also be able to work independently and manage their time efficiently.
This position reports directly to the Technical Support team manager.
Responsibilities- Provide post-sale technical support to customers
- Assess and document reported customer issues
- Formulate and communicate resolution plans
- Gather necessary information and resources
- Investigate and reproduce case scenarios
- Provide clear customer responses and document corrective actions
- Computer Science or Information Systems degree from a recognized institution
- 2 years of proven relevant professional experience in a similar position
- Good understanding of: IT and System administration; Networking and data transport and encryption; Cloud infrastructure, machine, network and services virtualization; Security concepts and methodologies
- Previous experience as a technical support agent/engineer
- Identity Management platforms
- Cloud infrastructure, business applications and distributed services
- Relational databases (especially MS-SQL 2014 and above) and SQL language proficiency
- .NET applications
- PowerShell, Bash or other OS scripting languages
- Programming and scripting languages
- Web and application servers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat)
