Job Description

Pet Circle is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Customer Tribe. As a member of this team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of customer-facing systems, from the website and app to our critical communication channels.

This role involves hands-on technical work in a fast-paced environment with a squad of engineers, a product manager, a QA engineer, and a designer. You'll take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, designing and building robust solutions, deploying and monitoring them in production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tackle complex technical challenges with autonomy and bring innovative solutions to the team.
  • Collaborate closely with your squad to define technical requirements and architect scalable high-performance systems.
  • Write clean well-tested code in our primary stack, while maintaining and modernizing our legacy applications.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need significant hands-on experience in full-stack software engineering, with a strong focus on building scalable resilient applications. You should have deep proficiency in TypeScript React and Next.js, with backend experience in NestJS and Java.

You'll also require good understanding of testing frameworks like Jest, as well as performance testing and E2E testing. Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally with Google Cloud (GCP) or AWS, is highly valued.

Additionally, you should have proven knowledge of software architecture and best practices for building cloud-native applications. A solid understanding of monitoring observability, and the tools used to ensure application health and performance is essential.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform is also required.
