Overview

  • As a Senior Software Architect at our company, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of our open source projects.
  • You will lead the design and architecture of impactful projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
  • Your expertise in Golang, Rust, Python, C/C++, or Typescript/React will be invaluable in driving innovation and growth within our team.
  • You will collaborate proactively with a globally distributed team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Additionally, you will mentor, develop, and advise colleagues in their career progression, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect open source projects to drive innovation and growth
  • Coding in Golang, Rust, Python, C/C++, or Typescript/React
  • Collaborate with a globally distributed team to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Mentor and develop colleagues in their career progression
  • Display technical leadership and expertise in Canonical communities
  • Debugging issues and producing high-quality code to fix them
  • Contributing to technical documentation

Requirements

  • An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about your alternative path
  • Drive and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations
  • Technical leadership as well as team motivation, direction, and pace
  • Deep experience with at least one of Go, Rust, Python, or C
  • Conscientiousness and detail orientation, with a focus on performance
  • Excellent communication skills including professional written and spoken English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
