Job Description:

As a Senior Observability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in steering the future direction of our organization's observability strategy.

This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to design and build an observability solution that aligns with our IT strategy and strategic DevOps practices.

Key responsibilities include working closely with engineers to deploy and maintain the observability solution, communicating with governance streams to ensure adherence to process and quality standards, delivering against functional and non-functional requirements, taking ownership of feature development, guiding team members on change control principles, and ensuring inter-project dependencies are understood and managed.

Additionally, this role involves collaboration with architects to guide software solutions, using technical expertise to inform architectural decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Understanding of Observability pillars and hands-on experience with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch, and CloudWatch
  • Experience in deploying and managing AWS resources
  • Hands-on experience with full-stack software engineering using Java, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell
  • Experience with Application Lifecycle Management Tools and technologies such as Source Code Management (SCM), Git, DevOps platforms, TeamCity, Sonatype Nexus, and Containerization
