Senior Mortgage Loan Specialist

Mortgage loan underwriters with expertise in US mortgage loan underwriting and disclosure processing are required to have knowledge of mortgage regulations, investor guidelines, and risk management. Ideal candidates have experience in active mortgage production environments.
Key Responsibilities- Accurate Loan Preparation: Review and validate all mortgage loan components, including borrower documentation, financial data, and property appraisals to ensure accuracy, completeness, and credit standards.
- Credit & Risk Mitigation: Identify and resolve credit issues to minimize risks, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Quality Assurance & Process Improvement: Conduct quality checks on completed loan packages to uphold a high standard of accuracy and recommend improvements to streamline processes.
- At least 5 years of experience in mortgage loan underwriting (conventional, FHA/VA, non-QM) for US consumers.
- Experience with TRID guidelines, agency and investor guidelines (Fannie/Freddie/HUD/VA).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets.
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, finance, economics, or related fields.
