Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large, complex customer-facing projects. This role involves coordinating and completing projects, overseeing all aspects of project delivery, and acting as the primary liaison between engineering teams and customers.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will manage projects that involve the delivery of Ubuntu images on devices ranging from robots to PCs. You will build and maintain working relationships with team members, customers, partners, and other departments.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage projects through their complete life cycle and ensure overall goals are met for both Canonical and clients.
  2. Deliver engineering professional services for assigned projects successfully.
  3. Work with engineering teams on custom board enablement and delivery of Ubuntu images to customers.
  4. Assist in the development of project statements of work.
  5. Draft and maintain project-specific schedules/project plans.
  6. Obtain client agreement to the project schedule and agreed-upon work items.
  7. Ensure projects are delivered within time/resources/scope expectations.
  8. Manage project risk mitigation and plans.
  9. Drive technical issues to reach desired delivery outcomes.
  10. Maintain daily and weekly communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
  11. Manage delivery schedules of critical third-party deliverables for projects.
  12. Keep management informed of project status.
