Technical Lead Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced technical lead to assume a pivotal role in our IT team. The selected candidate will play a crucial part in delivering innovative solutions for our clients, leveraging their expertise in software development and leadership.

This position offers the opportunity to drive technological advancements, modernize existing systems, and ensure the stability and maintainability of our codebase. As a technical leader, you will be responsible for guiding the development team, collaborating with domain experts, and educating non-technical colleagues on software best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the automation integration of 3rd party software applications with our internal data infrastructure
  • Review and modernize previous automation design using microservice architecture
  • Ensure support and stability of the codebase
  • Work closely with domain SMEs to implement enrichment and rules needed for proper integration
  • Help educate non-development team members on software development best practices
  • Present designs to developers for review, alignment, and feedback
  • Collaborate with the scrum team

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced technical lead with strong leadership skills and excellent communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 8+ years of hands-on full-stack software development experience in multiple languages
  • 2+ years of experience driving software architecture and engineering best practices
  • 5+ years of experience developing with design patterns and microservices infrastructure
  • 2+ years of DevOps experience setting up CI/CD pipelines and working with containerized environments
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain, diagram, and document design decisions

Preferred Qualifications:

The following qualifications are not mandatory but would be advantageous:

  • Data ETL experience
  • Experience in Wireless Telecom
  • Agile/Scrum team experience
  • Cloud experience
  • Able to coach junior developers

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science is required.

Work Conditions:

The successful candidate will work from home during specified hours with no on-call or overtime requirements.
