Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Vice President - Fund Accounting plays a vital role in the team's success.

Responsibilities include managing client relationships, owning responsibility for clients' portfolios from start to finish, and assisting in the management of a team of Associates and Senior Associates.

  • Deliver superior client service and timely delivery of accurate information.
  • Provide recommendations and capture observations to support holistic performance evaluation of assigned team members.
  • Conduct, facilitate, delegate, and monitor the training of team members, including the use of relevant accounting software and applications.
  • Review daily client deliverables to ensure deadlines are met through planning, delegation, and scheduling.
  • Review and/or calculation of Net Asset Values in line with client requirements, including the Exception Management System (EMS).

Requirements

For this position, we require:

  • A minimum 5 years of experience in the accounting field.
  • A minimum 3 years of fund accounting experience (e.g., hedge funds, private equity).
  • Financial reporting experience is an advantage.
  • Prior managerial or supervisory experience is an advantage.
  • Experience navigating fund accounting systems and operating in a daily reconciliations environment is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications

University degree (B.A./B.Sc./M.B.A.) in Business, preferably with a concentration in accounting or related financial discipline. Professional certification such as CPA or other international accounting certifications is an advantage.
