Job Description:

  • Manage daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Process invoices, manage payments, and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Verify and process employee reimbursements while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with payroll teams to ensure accurate records and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform month-end close tasks, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Support tax and compliance efforts, including value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), payroll, and corporate tax filings.
  • Track expenses and recommend cost-control improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred).
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, including accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with both Australian and US accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in Xero, NetSuite, or similar accounting software.
  • Advanced Excel skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
