Job Title: Automation Specialist

Operations Automation Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Automation Specialist to serve as the backbone of our automation efforts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on streamlining processes, connecting systems, and enabling teams to work smarter.

This operations automation specialist will transform operational bottlenecks into seamless automated workflows by partnering with operations and cross-functional teams, building and maintaining automated workflows using n8n, and connecting and synchronizing Airtable, Microsoft ecosystem tools, JIRA, Basecamp, and other SaaS platforms via APIs, webhooks, and automation flows.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain cross-platform automations that integrate n8n, Airtable, Microsoft Power Automate/Power Query, and various APIs (JIRA, Basecamp, and others).
  • Develop and manage Power Automate flows and Power Query transformations to streamline data handling, reporting, and operational dashboards.
  • Create and manage API integrations with project management, CRM, and communication tools to eliminate manual work.
  • Monitor automated workflows, troubleshoot errors, and optimize performance for reliability and scalability.
  • Maintain clear documentation for all automations and provide training or guidance to ensure solutions are sustainable.

About You:

The successful candidate will have proven experience with n8n workflow automation, strong proficiency in Airtable, skilled in Power Automate and Power Query for Microsoft 365 environments, hands-on experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON for integrations, and familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA and Basecamp.

Requirements:

  • 2-4+ years of experience in operations automation, systems integration, or process improvement roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate business processes into automated workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for documenting workflows and collaborating across teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and workflow reliability.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn new platforms and tools as the automation landscape evolves.
  • Strong accountability and ownership of projects from design to delivery.
