Medical Operations Specialist Job

We are seeking a career-minded nurse looking for a change in their professional path to join our medical operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for staffing emergency access telephone lines in our operations center, responding to client health events and other emergencies, deploying both domestically and internationally in support of medical evacuations, and performing a combination of medical logistics and research work.

The logistics of this role involve supporting medevac operations that come into the office from our members, while the research is done in preparation for future operations, including locating and establishing relationships with hospitals, air and ground evacuation providers, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Staff emergency and general access telephone lines in our operations center
  • Respond to member health events and member/potential member inquiries via telephone and email
    • Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle inquiries
    • Enroll, renew and upgrade retail customers, processing credit card and other payment information
    • Effectively describe the nature and scope of Global Rescue services
  • Manage and coordinate logistics for field rescues from remote locations and patient transfers to/from hospitals (includes air, ground, sea, etc.)
  • Follow, maintain and improve protocol, process and quality standards for patient response and transport
  • Execute assigned non-operational general office tasks with diligence and precision
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with 3+ years of experience
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Medical hotline experience preferred
  • College degree
  • Must be well-spoken and well-written
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Highly energetic and motivated to succeed
  • Mission focused orientation, interest in doing whatever it takes to help those in need
  • Attention to detail and follow-through
  • Efficient time management and organizational skills
