Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance and Test Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a senior member of our QA team, you will be responsible for maintaining a high bar of engineering quality, improving our testing infrastructure and automation processes, and driving continuous improvement of the reliability of our key e-commerce operations.

This role requires strong technical skills, including proficiency in Typescript, API (RESTful) testing frameworks and tools, and experience in defining performance test requirements and carrying out load and stress tests. Additionally, excellent collaboration and communication skills are essential for working with cross-functional teams of software developers, product managers, and designers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop automated functional and performance tests
  2. Identify test gaps and improve test plans
  3. Perform manual testing of new features and bug fixes
  4. Own the end-to-end testing of various integrated proprietary and third-party services
  5. Propose code design changes to increase testability
  6. Issue triaging and stakeholder engagement
  7. Guide teams on testing best practices, coordinating test coverage across unit, integration, and contract testing
  8. Conduct functional, regression, performance, ETL and end-to-end testing of new application releases and change requests
Requirements:
  1. 3-5+ years of experience in a senior software quality assurance capacity with the ability to understand, develop and execute test strategies and plans
  2. Ability to self-motivate and lead the test strategy and execution
  3. Proficiency in Typescript
  4. Proven track record in developing automated solutions from scratch
  5. Expert in API (RESTful) testing frameworks and tools
  6. Passion for improving quality of everything, including deployment, security, stability and performance or any other aspect of engineering
  7. Experience in defining performance test requirements and carrying out load and stress tests
  8. Experience working in cross functional teams, providing support throughout the software development life cycle
  9. Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a cross-functional team of software developers, product managers, and designers
