Job Title: Cloud Software Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled cloud software engineer to join our team. As a founding member of our DevOps team, you will have the opportunity to grow and shape the team as we navigate the complex digital landscape.

You will build amazing things using cutting-edge technologies like Node.js, MongoDB, Next.js, Nest.js, and DevOps tools. You'll participate in regular Scrum ceremonies while continuously innovating and optimizing for speed, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust applications using Node.js, MongoDB, Next.js, and Nest.js.
  • Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and YAML for seamless deployment.
  • Leverage Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of applications.
  • Implement scalable DevOps solutions using AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
  • Build secure web applications with a strong focus on security standards and protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to make architectural decisions for system scalability and performance.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Develop processes for infrastructure automation using Terraform, Jenkins, and Docker.
  • Solve complex problems in real-time, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health and performance.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, or engineering.
  • Experience developing with Node.js/MERN stack or equivalent.
  • Technical skills including experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and CloudFormation. Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment and management. Knowledge of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective collaboration and communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certifications.
  • Serverless Architecture experience with AWS Lambda and serverless application development.
  • Microservices experience and familiarity with event-driven systems.
  • Understanding of networking concepts, VPNs, and security protocols.
