Immersive Gaming Experience Manager

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to spearhead our gaming strategy, driving innovation and growth across the Ubuntu ecosystem.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive plan to enhance the gaming experience on Ubuntu, focusing on key partnerships and technology integrations.
  • Cultivate a high-performing team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote open communication and knowledge sharing among stakeholders, ensuring seamless alignment with company objectives.
  • Lead code reviews, emphasizing quality, performance, and modern design principles, to deliver exceptional results.
  • Nurture relationships with upstream projects and partners, identifying opportunities for mutual benefit and growth.
  • Foster a cohesive and comprehensive gaming experience on Ubuntu, incorporating feedback from the open-source and gaming communities.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; alternative paths also considered.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Detailed understanding of Linux graphics stack, including user-space components and kernel drivers.
  • Exceptional project management skills, encompassing risk assessment, resource allocation, and timelines.
  • Able to balance technical leadership with effective team management and communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external interactions.
  • Strong planning skills, demonstrated by capacity to manage multiple initiatives and priorities.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for company events and meetings.
