Senior Assurance Professional Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Assurance Professional to join our team. As a key member of our assurance team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality audit services to our clients.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading engagements through all phases of the audit process with minimal supervision
  • Maintaining our core values and service standards
  • Analyzing financial statement issues using electronic sources and software
  • Contribute to the assurance workflow by identifying, analyzing, and articulating problems and opportunities, and proposing solutions to client issues
  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of company operations to assess internal controls and provide business process solutions to client management
  • Effectively communicating timely results internally and externally on project and client information
  • Maintaining positive relationships with clients
  • Carrying moderately complex tasks to completion
  • Supervising and coaching staff and interns on detailed engagements for moderately complex to less complex clients
  • Staying up-to-date with computer software applications and use them efficiently
  • Understanding the economics of job performance and Firm operation by reviewing and working within constraints
  • Participating in Level 3, 4, and 5 assurance training
  • Participating in professional and business organizations as requested
  • Supporting client development and marketing efforts as needed
  • Supporting staff recruiting activities and events to support Firm recruiting efforts
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college
  • Compliance with the 150 hour rule and/or a CPA
  • Two to four years recent public accounting experience
  • Understanding of generally accepted auditing standards, GAAP, and industry-specific rules
  • Experience with paperless auditing applications preferred
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong research, organizational, computer, and analytical skills
  • A desire to provide exceptional client service with integrity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Caseware and McGladrey methodology preferred
  • Ability to meet deadlines
