Job Description:

The Medical Information Specialist role is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for providing medical and safety information to customers. You will be working closely with healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders to provide accurate and timely responses to their queries.

This position involves responding to unsolicited consumer, health care professional and other external customer requests for medical and safety information received via telephone, website/e-mail, letter, fax, and scientific meetings on behalf of ProPharma's pharmaceutical clients.

As a Medical Information Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to provide labeled and unlabeled medical/safety information responses in accordance with regulatory requirements, industry standards and client and internal policies and practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responding to customer inquiries in a clear and concise manner;
  • Providing accurate and up-to-date information on product labels, company standard responses, published literature and other data;
  • Identifying, documenting and reporting adverse events, pregnancy reports, special situation events and product complaints in a clear and concise manner per government regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Working Practices (WPs);
  • Ensuring tasks are completed within the deadlines documented in the agreed SOPs and WPs;
  • Formulating and providing accurate responses utilizing approved labeling and company standard responses, published literature and other data; Assisting with writing custom medical information responses utilizing this data;
  • Logging all inquiries handled in an accurate, comprehensive, and timely fashion into Inquiry Handling Systems.

In addition to these key responsibilities, you will also be required to maintain quality in all areas of the job, including performing quality checks on Adverse Events, Product Quality Complaints, correspondence, and enquiries logged into the Inquiry Handling Systems.

You will also be expected to adhere to company and country-specific privacy policies, ensuring any confidential information or personal data related to the organization and its clients is managed in accordance with Data Privacy regulations described in SOPs and the Confidentiality Statement within the Contract of Employment.

Other activities as assigned by the Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Life science degree or Nursing degree (RN/BS/BA/MS) or Pharmacy degree;
