About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in a Lithium Extraction Company. The ideal candidate will report to the Accounting Manager and work closely with domestic and international accounting organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to month-end close through journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with consolidations, including reviewing financials, eliminations, and reports for external compliance.
  • Manage business travel and expense platform, ensuring policy compliance and accurate coding.
  • Maintain fixed asset subledger and propose additions/disposals.
  • Analyze and provide commentary on monthly Balance Sheet and P&L account balances.
  • Support billing department during month-end close and ensure timely payments and purchase order exceptions.
  • Interact cross-functionally with department managers to support accounting team goals.
  • Contribute to critical accounting policies and annual financial statement audit.
  • Assist with system implementations, technical analysis, and projects as needed.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Proficient understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting
  • Minimum 2-4 years of General Ledger accounting experience, including account reconciliation & analysis
  • Experience in month-end processes
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to pitch in with assorted tasks
  • Proficient with MS Office, including Excel and Word
  • Willingness to work Pacific Time Zone hours

Preferred Skills:

  • CPA certification
  • Public accounting experience with a global firm
  • Experience working with external audit firms
  • Experience with financial statement preparation
  • International accounting experience, including consolidations and foreign currency transactions
  • Experience with systems like NetSuite, Coupa, FloQast
  • Experience in the mining industry and manufacturing
