We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounting cycle, ensuring timely and accurate financial statement preparation in compliance with U.S. GAAP.

  • Maintaining accurate financial records

  • Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards

The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in accounting practices, with a strong proficiency in financial accounting software. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial analysis and reports to management, highlighting key trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

About the Job

This is a mid-senior level full-time position. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting for U.S. companies. Proficiency in financial accounting software, with a strong preference for experience in QuickBooks, is required.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
  2. Prepare and file tax returns, both federal and state, and ensure compliance with all tax regulations and deadlines
  3. Develop and monitor internal controls and policies to ensure financial data integrity and security
  4. Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial practices
  5. Participate in budget preparation and financial forecasting, providing insights and analysis for strategic decision-making
  6. Implement and optimize accounting software and systems to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency
  7. Provide financial analysis and reports to management, highlighting key trends, variances, and areas for improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting for U.S. companies
  • Proficiency in financial accounting software, with a strong preference for experience in QuickBooks
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in the U.S. and experience with financial statement preparation
  • Fully fluent in English
  • Ability to commit long-term and work full-time
  • Ability to work U.S. business hours (Pacific Time, Central Time, or Eastern Time)
