The Commercial Manager plays a crucial role in strengthening and expanding the company's presence as a leading provider of digital insurance solutions. With a dual focus on managing existing client relationships and sourcing new business partners, this role ensures that innovative insurance products meet evolving customer needs.
Responsibilities- Nurture relationships with existing clients and partners to maximize satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
- Understand each partner's goals and collaborate closely to identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding their use of digital insurance solutions.
- Work with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and a positive partner experience.
- Assess partner performance and provide insights and solutions to enhance their experience and drive mutual growth.
- Lead renewal discussions and negotiate terms that support both partner objectives and commercial goals.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities focusing on strategic partnerships that align with the mission to make insurance accessible, affordable, and inclusive.
- Conduct market research to build a pipeline of potential partners who can benefit from digital insurance solutions.
- Presentation of product suite to prospective clients demonstrating how solutions can add value to their business and customers.
- Collaborate with prospective partners to structure agreements and negotiate terms that create long-term value and growth for both parties.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and evolving customer needs to guide business development strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Commercial to align on commercial strategies that support existing and new partnerships.
- Coordinate with product, operations, marketing, and finance teams to tailor solutions that meet partner requirements ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.
- Engage in cross-functional projects that enhance the ability to deliver seamless and effective insurance solutions across various markets.
- Facilitate smooth communication and project coordination between departments to support partner onboarding and optimize ongoing account management.
- Track and evaluate performance across both account management and new business initiatives using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and decision-making.
- Prepare and deliver regular updates to the Head of Commercial highlighting partnership growth key achievements challenges and emerging opportunities.
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to account management and business development ensuring alignment with broader commercial and strategic objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing Finance or a related field; experience in the insurance fintech or tech industries is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in account management business development or sales with a demonstrated focus on client relationship management and business growth.
- Deep understanding of the insurance industry and digital solutions ideally with experience in insurtech or related fields.
- Proven track record in managing and expanding client relationships as well as identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Strong communication negotiation and presentation skills with an ability to connect effectively with diverse audiences.
- Highly collaborative with experience working across teams and departments to deliver integrated solutions.
- Strong organizational skills and an analytical mindset with the ability to handle multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
