Job Overview

The IT Systems Engineer role is a senior technical position responsible for providing 2nd level technical assistance, diagnosing and resolving issues with software, hardware, networks, cloud systems, databases, and the Internet.

This role involves providing support in the deployment, installation, and maintenance of systems, as well as delivering remote assistance to end users for escalated issues.

About the Job
  • We provide support for workstation-, server-, and networking systems, including installation, monitoring, and management of client cloud infrastructure.
  • Support and change management of Microsoft (Office) 365 and Azure systems are also part of this role.
  • Establishing, operating, and maintaining data communication systems, installing, monitoring, and supporting web server hard- and software, and performing server backup and recovery operations are key responsibilities.

Technical Requirements

  • Very high-level verbal and written English language skills are required.
  • Preferably, candidates have experience working within ticketing systems.
  • Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in IT support roles and extensive knowledge of modern desktop environments.
  • Fundamental understanding of end-user hardware setup, support, and troubleshooting is necessary.
  • Good fundamental Networking experience, significant Microsoft Server experience, and basic Microsoft Azure Active Directory experience are required.
  • Significant Hyper-V Virtualization experience, experience setting up users, groups, and simple configuration of Microsoft 365, and advanced knowledge of modern backup and disaster recovery technologies are also necessary.
  • Fundamental understanding of IT security principles and advanced Microsoft Server knowledge, including expertise on Microsoft 365 and its advanced configuration, are required.
  • Microsoft SQL experience and knowledge of backup products such as StorageCraft, Azure Site Recovery, Barracuda Backup, and Veeam are necessary.
