Senior Linux Professional

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned IT specialist with expertise in Linux system administration, server management, and cloud infrastructure. They will be responsible for supporting and managing the global Linux estate using available tools and utilities.

  • Responsible for providing technical assistance for the Unix Server Infrastructure including day-to-day server administration, incident response and remediation, as well as implementation of new technologies.
  • To carry out requests and tasks according to ITIL standards.
  • To provide solutions and root cause analysis of system performance and failure-related issues.
  • To collaborate on projects and provide close liaison with project teams to ensure smooth transition of new servers, functionality, software tools, and initiatives into production environments.
  • To work closely with management, team members, and colleagues in IT.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and recommend options to improve the effectiveness of the Linux infrastructure and Linux estate.
  • Establish and maintain best practices, processes, and procedures to underpin business operations.
  • Creation and maintenance of full system documentation, including disaster recovery documentation.
  • Innovation - continually looking at ways to improve infrastructure for a faster and more efficient environment.
  • Maintains the operational health of the systems infrastructure and supports applications and users dependent on the company's infrastructure.
  • Drive standards and document reference architecture based on requirements from business, application development, and operations to achieve a state-of-the-art environment meeting current and future business objectives.
