Cloud Applications Engineer

We are seeking a Cloud Applications Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert for distributed applications on hybrid cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation, reliability, and operational excellence, with experience supporting critical, high-availability production systems. They will be responsible for leading incident management, troubleshooting, response coordination, and conducting comprehensive post-incident reviews.

You will also be responsible for clearly communicating complex technical issues to development teams, documenting root causes, and collaborating internally to create robust solutions. Additionally, you will manage, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications and cloud-based systems using secure, scalable, and reliable frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for distributed applications on hybrid cloud platforms
  • Champion continuous operational improvements informed by metrics analysis and customer feedback
  • Lead incident management, troubleshooting, response coordination, and conduct comprehensive post-incident reviews
  • Clearly communicate complex technical issues to development teams
  • Manage, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications and cloud-based systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting critical, high-availability production systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Required Technical Skills: Linux Administration and Troubleshooting, Distributed Applications, Logging & Monitoring, Incident Management, Version Control

Plus Points:

  • Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), or relevant cloud certifications
  • Extensive experience supporting and maintaining Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environments, Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), Messaging Queues, API Gateways, and Proxies
  • Proven experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams within structured processes that follow modern DevOps practices and workflows
