About the Position

This key technical position focuses on delivering expert support for clients utilizing custom Linux-based storage software.

As an experienced Linux Support Engineer, you will provide comprehensive assistance with setup, troubleshooting, and optimization of Linux systems while contributing to technical research and content development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer in-depth Linux system support through Zendesk, addressing installations, upgrades, and issues.
  • Analyze network, storage, and CPU performance using tools such as iperf, iostat, fio, htop, and Wireshark.
  • Automate tasks using Bash, Python, or Perl, leveraging tools like grep, sed, and awk for log analysis and data manipulation.
  • Manage SSH key-based authentication, VLAN configurations, and comprehend storage protocols (iSCSI, NFS, SMB).
  • Research and document Linux system optimizations for the company's knowledge base.
  • Communicate complex solutions clearly, including handling challenging customer interactions.

  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox/KVM).
