Accounting Manager Role

The Staff Accountant plays a pivotal role in managing full-cycle accounting operations for clients. This involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, analyzing financial reports, and documenting activities through reconciliations and work papers. To excel in this position, one must be able to prioritize tasks effectively while delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities- Reconcile bank, credit card, and payroll accounts, as well as manage accounts receivable and payable.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements with supporting reconciliations.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks, including annual filings for 1099s.
- Communicate open items or anomalies to management and ensure their resolution.
- Produce ad-hoc reports for clients and/or management upon request and assist with special accounting projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly desirable.
- 5 years of accounting experience, with 3+ years in progressive full-charge bookkeeping.
- Experience with QuickBooks and related software tools.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word, and experience with QuickBooks Online and/or Xero.
