Pet Care Analytics Specialist

Our team is scaling rapidly and we're looking for an expert to help us leverage data and analytics to drive strategic decision-making, optimize operations, and enrich pet care with personalized experiences.

The Opportunity

As a key member of our organization's data governance program, you will be responsible for adding and refining data feeds, transforming data into models, and ensuring high availability and reliability.

Expected skills include solid SQL and Python programming, as well as experience with big data databases & engineering. You should have a genuine interest in using data to achieve business goals and work collaboratively with engineers, data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect and transform data from external systems
  • Process data into information-rich data models
  • Monitor data assets for performance, reliability, and availability
  • Create custom data sets for statistical analysis
  • Perform maintenance tasks to handle changing environments
  • Document processes and data structures
  • Develop visualizations and interactive reports
  • Manage basic security and privacy protocols
Requirements:
  • 2-5+ years experience in data engineering or analytics engineering
  • Extensive experience in SQL and Python programming
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Ability to model data and create transformation pipelines
  • Experience working with cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery)
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
