About the RoleThis role plays a crucial part in medical records retrieval. As a Medical Records Coordinator, you will ensure that every request is accurate, complete, and optimized for success.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify relevant providers associated with a client's treatment.
- Locate billing providers using tools like Chartswap and direct provider calls.
- Add all identified providers to requests in an admin app.
- Review and correct incoming ROIs, which are often incomplete or inaccurate.
- Prepare accurate base forms and generate submission packets.
- Conduct a thorough QA review of each ROI packet, ensuring cover letters, affidavits, and requirements are correct.
- Assign requests to team members based on workload and utilization.
- Escalate special provider requirements to Client Success Managers.
- Coordinate with law firms' case managers to resolve missing information.
Requirements:
- Prior experience requesting medical records from providers on behalf of law firms.
- Strong attention to detail, small errors can cause significant delays.
- Proficiency with Adobe and PDF editing/combining tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.
