Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated In-Field Mentor to support missionaries in their first twelve weeks in the field. As an In-Field Mentor, you will train remotely using Preach My Gospel (PMG) principles and other missionary resources to real-world experiences.

Responsibilities:
  1. Meet with missionaries remotely to provide instruction, counsel, and feedback in one-on-one coaching, small group facilitation, and regular follow-up.
  2. Plan and prepare sessions following the approved curriculum to meet the missionary's needs.
  3. Direct missionaries in planning and accounting for their learning.
  4. Implement direction and training from the Mentor Trainer, Manager, Regional Manager, and Senior Manager of In-Field Learning and Development.
  5. Attend weekly training meetings and one-on-ones with the Mentor Trainer.
Qualifications

To be successful as an In-Field Mentor, you must have:

  • A returned missionary status or currently teaching at a Missionary Training Center (MTC).
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) at a high proficiency in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Outstanding coaching, facilitation, and training skills and abilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Preach My Gospel.
  • Ability to train remotely through video calls on a desktop or laptop.
  • Excellent interpersonal, prioritizing, professionalism, and leadership skills.
