Financial Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with the ability to lead the month-end close process, analyze general ledger accounts, and prepare internal financial reports.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading the month-end close process, including creating journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
  • Analyzing general ledger accounts and providing insights on significant variances
  • Preparing internal financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and supporting management with variance analysis and commentary on financial trends and results

In addition to these key responsibilities, the Financial Manager will also be involved in contributing to the ongoing improvement of internal financial reporting packages, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax forms.

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. If you have experience in both public accounting and corporate accounting environments, that would be a plus.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification or active progress toward CPA is a plus
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-client environment
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial controls
