Job Opportunity: Property Staff Accountant

The primary function of this role is to deliver professional accounting and community management services to residential communities, condominiums, and homeowners associations (HOA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial reconciliations, expense accruals, and journal entries for a portfolio of clients.
  • Review general ledger account activity to ensure the accuracy and adherence to accounting policies of financial statements.
  • Produce monthly financial reports and internal/external reports as needed/requested.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of internal controls and segregation of duties required to drive consistent implementation of best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements:

  • Approximately 2-3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Experience working in a Global Business Services (GBS), Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) or Shared Service Center environment, preferably in the United States.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting terminology in English.
  • Effective written communication skills, with the ability to prepare a writing sample.
  • Understanding of both Cash and Accrual basis financial reporting.
