Disaster Relief Solutions Specialist

MCI is seeking highly motivated individuals to work in disaster relief efforts, providing effective solutions to customers.

Candidates will be contacted via email and text on an as-needed basis. Hours of operation are from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM ET, with shifts from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Improve the customer's experience by providing swift and accurate responses to inquiries
  • Learn common requests and develop effective solutions
  • Escalate customer dissatisfaction to proper channels
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to type swiftly and accurately (20+ words per minute)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems
  • Highly reliable with regular attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues
  • Aptitude for conflict resolution, problem solving, and negotiation
  • Customer service oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient, conscientious)
  • Ability to multi-task, stay focused, and self-manage
  • Strong team orientation and customer focus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with change and ambiguity
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships

The job operates in a professional office environment; duties are largely sedentary and require sitting/standing for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset.
