Cloud Geospatial Platform Developer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Cloud Geospatial Platform Developer to design, build, and optimize robust backend systems and APIs. Work with Python, SQL, and AWS to deliver scalable solutions.

  • Design high-performance backend systems and APIs for speed and growth.
  • Build secure, reliable public-facing APIs.
  • Own CI/CD pipelines powering continuous integration and deployment.
  • Implement best-in-class monitoring and observability with tools like Datadog or New Relic.
  • Partner with frontend developers and stakeholders to align backend architecture with business goals.
  • Harness PostgreSQL and PostGIS for advanced SQL and geospatial data management.
  • Deploy solutions in AWS using API Gateway, Lambda, and Serverless frameworks.
  • Support microservices-based architectures and event-driven workflows with webhooks.
Key Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of backend development experience building and scaling public-facing APIs.
  • Proficient in Python with solid experience in Flask or FastAPI.
  • Highly skilled in SQL and PostgreSQL, ideally with PostGIS for geospatial data.
  • Experience with spatial mapping tools (like Mapbox) or GIS concepts.
  • Design RESTful APIs that are secure, scalable, and built for performance.
  • Thrive in AWS environments (API Gateway, Lambda, Serverless) and know how to ship production-ready systems.
  • Understand microservices and event-driven workflows, including webhooks.
  • Value observability, with real-world experience using Datadog, New Relic, or similar.
