Cloud Infrastructure Professional

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is an integral member of our team responsible for designing, deploying and managing scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. Key to success is the creation of secure, compliant and resilient infrastructure through effective use of Infrastructure as Code, DevOps automation and robust authentication and access controls.

The role encompasses the design, deployment and management of scalable cloud infrastructure across multiple platforms including Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud Storage, IAM and Load Balancing.

A successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, automation and integration with CI/CD pipelines. Expertise in GitLab for source control, CI/CD automation and lifecycle management is also essential.

This position requires a deep understanding of Java-based applications and enterprise-scale system deployment models. Experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure resilient and compliant infrastructure is vital.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, deploying and managing scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, encompassing Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud Storage, IAM and Load Balancing.
  • Developing, maintaining and optimizing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ensuring state management and version control.
  • Building and managing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab to automate infrastructure deployment, testing and monitoring.
  • Deploying and managing VPN servers for secure remote access in cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Implementing and managing authentication and access controls, including OAuth2, SAML, LDAP, RBAC and identity federation integrated with cloud IAM.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure performance issues, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum of five to ten years of experience in technology environments with enterprise-scale infrastructure support.
  • Deep understanding of Java-based applications and enterprise-scale system deployment models.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud Storage, IAM, Load Balancing).
  • Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, automation and integration within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Skilled in GitLab for source control, CI/CD automation and lifecycle management.
  • Experienced in authentication and access control (OAuth2, SAML, LDAP, RBAC and identity federation).
  • Well-versed in IAM policies, compliance frameworks and infrastructure security.
  • Skilled in VPN server management.
