Accounting Leadership Role

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Leader to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our accounting operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership roles within accounting. They will also possess extensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting processes.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports, adhering to accounting standards and company policies.
  • Leading the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring comprehensive and accurate financial reporting.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and safeguard company assets.
  • Overseeing tax planning and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all tax returns.
  • Coordinating and managing internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Providing leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Collaborating with other departments to support business operations, strategic planning, and decision-making.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and improve overall financial performance.

In addition to these key responsibilities, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders. They will also be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and have experience with accounting software and ERP systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership roles within accounting, with a background in a large accounting firm preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Intacct, etc.).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
