Job Summary

This role is responsible for addressing patient inquiries and concerns, understanding patient needs by listening and interviewing, and coordinating information among patients, family members, medical personnel, and administrative staff. Familiarity with healthcare policies and procedures, medical resources, and regulations is required to support patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls according to procedure and departmental standards.
  • Assist patients with their inquiries and concerns.
  • Collect patients' outstanding balances.
  • Support third-party entities with questions regarding patients' accounts.
  • Place outbound collection calls according to procedure and departmental standards.
  • Assist patients with billing inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Maintain a team player attitude and support department and company goals and policies.
  • Be reliable and punctual, maintaining good attendance and timely return from breaks.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Proficient in email usage.
  • A motivated self-starter.
