As a seasoned professional in the field of data engineering, you have a unique opportunity to take on a leadership role in our Manila hub.
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Data Engineer to join our global team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge data infrastructure.
This position offers a chance to shape the future of our data processes and drive impactful projects from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to recruit, mentor, and develop junior engineers.
- Design, build, and maintain robust systems and infrastructure for processing and analysing large datasets.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and develop scalable solutions.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, data warehouses, and cloud-based systems.
- Improve Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes using automation tools.
- Oversee the maintenance and monitoring of various data applications, pipelines, and databases.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to coordinate and collaborate on development efforts.
Experience / Competences:
- 5+ years of work experience in data engineering or similar fields.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Leadership skills and ability to foster a high-performing team environment.
- Proficiency in Python with at least one data manipulation framework (e.g. Pandas, Dask) and SQL; knowledge of other languages is advantageous.
- Experience with REST APIs, AWS, Snowflake, Kubernetes, and Airflow.
- Understanding of ETL processes and event streaming technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both business and technical teams.
